Kristin grew up in Great Falls, Montana, and enlisted in the U.S. Army after high school. She served her country for twelve years and was an Army Mustang. She also earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees while in uniform. She spent two years at the Pentagon working for General Colin Powell, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. She earned a commission, served as a Signal Officer Platoon Leader in an Infantry Division, and was honorably discharged. She then returned to the West and began her life in Idaho.
Professionally, In the private sector, Kristin worked at Micron, Hewlett-Packard, and most recently, was a software engineering manager for the water technology company, Xylem. She is a dynamic team leader who knows how to collaborate across interests and build stronger systems.
Kristin lives in Boise, where she’s raised her two daughters primarily as a single mother. She is now remarried and she, her husband, and their four daughters love the outdoors, especially snow sports, hiking, and white-water rafting.
